Key Stage 2 Results – 2024–2025

We are incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils, whose hard work and perseverance have led to excellent results this academic year. These outcomes reflect the dedication of our teaching team, the support of families, and the determination of our pupils to achieve their very best.

In 2024–2025:

  • 79% of pupils achieved the expected standard in Reading, Writing and Maths combined, significantly above the national average of 62%.

  • 16% of pupils achieved the higher standard, compared to 8% nationally.

  • Our school ranks in the top 12% of schools nationally for combined outcomes.

Subject Highlights:

  • Reading: 89% met the expected standard (national: 75%), with 53% achieving greater depth.

  • Writing: 89% met the expected standard (national: 72%), with 21% working at greater depth.

  • Maths: 79% met the expected standard (national: 74%), with a scaled score average of 106.9.

  • Grammar, Punctuation and Spelling (GPS): 68% met the expected standard (national: 73%), with 32% achieving the higher standard.

  • Science: 89% met the expected standard (national: 82%).

These results place Wittersham pupils well above national averages in most areas, showcasing the strength of our curriculum, our inclusive teaching, and our commitment to high aspirations for all children.

Supporting Every Learner

We are proud that every pupil in our small cohort of 19 was known, supported, and encouraged. Pupils who did not meet the expected standard made strong personal progress, and we remain committed to ensuring that every child continues to thrive and succeed.

Key Stage 1 Results – 2024–2025

At Wittersham Church of England Primary School, we are incredibly proud of our Year 2 pupils and the progress they have made this year. Our Key Stage 1 outcomes reflect the dedication of our staff, the commitment of our families, and—most importantly—the hard work of our children.

Despite being a small cohort of 19 pupils, our results are strong and in most cases above or in line with national outcomes.

Overall Results for Year 2 – 2024–2025

  • Reading, Writing and Maths Combined (Expected Standard): 63%

  • Reading, Writing and Maths Combined (Greater Depth): 5%

Reading

  • Expected Standard: 79% (above national average of ~71%)

  • Greater Depth: 26% (well above national average of ~19%)

Writing

  • Expected Standard: 68% (above national average of ~64%)

  • Greater Depth: 11% (above national average of ~9%)

Maths

  • Expected Standard: 74% (above national average of ~72%)

  • Greater Depth: 11% (in line with national average of ~17%)

Science

  • Expected Standard: 84% (above national average of ~83%)

These results demonstrate our ongoing commitment to delivering a high-quality curriculum that supports children to thrive both academically and personally.
