Admissions
Wittersham Church of England Primary School is a welcoming, nurturing village school providing education for children aged 4 to 11. Rooted in Christian values, we are proud to serve our local community and offer 20 places each year for families looking to join our school family.
If you are considering applying for a place at Wittersham for your child starting school in September 2025, we would be delighted to welcome you for a visit. Seeing our school in action offers a chance to meet our dedicated staff, speak to our wonderful children, and experience the calm, purposeful learning environment that defines our approach.
To book a visit or ask any questions, please contact Mrs Penn, our Office Manager, on 01797 270329 or email office@wittersham.kent.sch.uk. We look forward to meeting you!
How to Apply
Admissions to our school are managed by Kent County Council (KCC). All applications for Reception places must be made through the KCC Primary Admissions Portal.
If the school is oversubscribed, the following criteria will be applied:
-
Looked After Children
-
Church Affiliation
-
Sibling already attending
-
Distance from the school
More information about this process can be found on the KCC Primary Admissions Website.
In-Year Admissions
We welcome in-year admissions for families moving into the area or looking to change schools mid-year. If you are interested in a place for your child, please contact the school office to check availability. All in-year applicants are required to complete an In-Year Admission Pack, which can be obtained directly from the school office.
If there is no space available at the time of your enquiry, your child’s name will be added to our waiting list. We will hold your child on the list for a maximum of six months, after which point we will contact you to ask whether you wish to remain on the list.
We always aim to make the process as smooth and transparent as possible and will support you every step of the way.
