School Lunches

Our school lunches are freshly prepared each day in our in-house kitchen, using local ingredients wherever possible. Lunches are free for all children in EYFS and Key Stage 1 (Reception, Year 1, and Year 2) under the Universal Infant Free School Meals scheme.

From Key Stage 2 (Years 3 to 6), lunches cost £2.80 per day (£14.00 per week). Payment should be made in advance via the SCOPAY website or app. Please refer to our school meals policy for further details.

Some families may also be eligible for means-tested Free School Meals (this is separate from the universal offer). For more information or to check eligibility, please follow this link: Free School Meals.

Our current school lunch menu can be viewed at the bottom of this page. If your child has any allergies or dietary requirements, please contact the school office so we can support you appropriately.

Packed Lunches

Children are also welcome to bring a packed lunch to school. We understand that every child is different, and that individual routines, dietary needs or medical conditions may influence what is included in their lunchbox. The following is a guide to support families in providing a balanced and nutritious meal:

We advise that a packed lunch might include:

  • A portion of starchy food, such as wholegrain bread, pasta, rice or crackers

  • Fresh fruit and/or vegetables, such as carrot sticks, cherry tomatoes, an apple or banana

  • A portion of milk or dairy food, such as cheese or plain yoghurt

  • A small portion of lean meat, fish or a vegetarian alternative, such as ham, chicken, egg or hummus

  • A drink – still water, milk (unflavoured), or a small portion of fruit juice (not fizzy or squash)

We recommend including an ice pack to keep food fresh, especially during warmer weather, as food stored at room temperature for long periods can become unsafe.

To support the health, safety and inclusivity of all children, we kindly ask that packed lunches do not include:

  • Sweets

  • Fizzy or high-sugar drinks

  • Any nut-based products – we are a nut-free school due to allergies

If you have any questions or need support with school lunches or packed lunches, please don’t hesitate to contact our Family Liaison Officer (FLO), who is always happy to help.
