PE Kit Requirements

At Wittersham Church of England Primary School, we ask that all children wear the following PE kit, which is practical, comfortable, and in line with our school expectations:

All Year Round

• Yellow polo shirt or t-shirt

• Plain black shorts

• Plimsolls or trainers:

  • For children in Windmills and Smugglers: preferably Velcro fastening

  • For children in Vikings, Oxney and Rother: trainers are suitable

Colder Weather (Autumn and Spring Terms)

• Plain black tracksuit bottoms (not leggings)

• Plain black zip-up tracksuit top, hoodie or sweatshirt

Please note:

• Tracksuits must be plain black, with no logos, slogans or pictures.

• All PE kit items should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

School Uniform Information

At Wittersham Church of England Primary School, we aim for a uniform that is practical, affordable, and supports a sense of belonging while allowing children to play and learn comfortably.

We do sell book bags from the school office for those who wish to purchase them.

Please note the following guidance to help ensure your child is prepared for school life:

• All clothing must be clearly labelled with your child’s name.

• Shoes should be secure and practical. If your child is not yet able to tie laces independently, please ensure they wear shoes with Velcro or buckles.

• Earrings, if worn, must be plain studs only.

• It is advisable to provide a labelled set of spare school clothes in case of accidents or messy play.

• We go outside in all weathers. Please ensure your child has appropriate outdoor clothing including:

  • Sun hat (for warmer weather)

  • Wellies

  • Warm hat, gloves and scarf during colder months

Branded Uniform

There is no requirement to purchase items with the school logo. We are happy for families to buy school-coloured clothing from supermarkets or other affordable outlets, such as plain jumpers or cardigans in our school colours.
